ATTORNEY PROFILE
Born and raised in Greenville, SC, James Allison has been practicing law and representing individuals, businesses, and family’s from the upstate for more than 35 years. As a young adolesent, Mr. Allison attended and graduated from The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He earned a B.A. degree from Presbyterian College in 1970 and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1976. Mr. Allison served 2 years of active duty in the United States Army (Infantry) and 28 years in the Army Reserves, earning the rank of Lt. Colonel.
In 1992 Mr. Allison formed a partnership with long-time Greenville attorney W. Clark Gaston, Jr. under the name of Gaston & Allison, LLC which was an active participant in the rejuvenation of Greenville’s downtown area. Since Mr. Gaston’s retirement in 2009, Mr. Allison has continued the practice in the same East North Street location, ably supported by his principal paralegal and assistant, Bridget P. Klebe, who has been employed since 1987 and is fully versed in the practice areas of the firm. Known in the community as a family man with strong moral values, Mr. Allison strives beyond business and legacy to exemplify the meaning of attorney, husband, father, and friend.
